Oh well, I didn’t do too shabby. I was able to use the original barrel frame after all, so that makes me happy.

Additionally, this is the second time I’ve seen that “BREAKER 11” red stamp inside the case. Wish I knew what that was about! Sounds neat.

And yes, the plate was painted copper, until I checked it for durability and it failed miserably, so I stripped it all down and went with a nice stainless enamel which worked out way better.
