Sold.

This board was in rather good shape to begin with. I set out with the goal of making the panel a little more aesthetically pleasing so I experimented with leaving a super thin layer of plastic by only drilling to a certain point. A bit of a pain to do, but it looks nice. I’m sure I’ll do it again in the future.

Also… I have a little habit where I’ll sometimes play a song on repeat while I’m doing something until I finish. Well, the song for reconditioning this board was Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani… I’m not sure why…

This is my first personal SSK I’ve claimed as my own. I put it together out of the scrappier parts I had as an experiment. It’s not as clean yet as it should be, but I was really anxious at the time to try out my modified membrane sheets!!!

I’ve figured out how I’ll be doing future membrane re-tracing better than this, and I’ll close up the gap between the new traces to avoid having a little membrane “tag” sticking out the side.

A confident little board with lots of character.

I reconditioned its twin, Claire.
