I gifted this board to my best friend a number of years back when I first started finding Model M’s. He named it after Doogie Howser because that’s what he typed his journal entries with!

Fast forward a bit and now I’m giving it a proper reconditioning.

  1. Curious as to the reason you use countersunk screws for most rows, but pan heads for the centre row?

    1. Sure! The center row in the steel plate has round holes instead of oval like the rest of them. I feel like countersunk screws in that row would throw the geometry off.
